MC Driver — Interstate Linehaul
About the role
Bertram Logistics is a family-owned, NHVAS-accredited interstate freight operator, and we are seeking experienced MC (Multi-Combination) drivers for interstate linehaul on our core lanes between Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. This is full-trailer-load work on well-planned, regular runs, with a modern fleet, genuine fatigue management and a team that backs its drivers. What you'll do
Drive interstate linehaul on our core lanes between Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Operate B-doubles and, where permitted, road train configurations on full-trailer-load freight. Manage your trip within our Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) systems and keep accurate electronic work diary records. Ensure mass and load-restraint compliance on every leg. Complete pre-start checks, report defects, and keep the truck clean and presentable. Maintain clear communication with our operations team throughout the run. Deliver freight safely, on time and in good condition.
About you
A current MC (Multi-Combination) licence. A minimum of 2 years' interstate driving experience. A strong safety and compliance record, and a clean driving history. Confident with electronic work diaries and BFM fatigue requirements. Comfortable with multi-day trips away from home. Good knowledge of load restraint and mass limits. Experience with drop-deck and super-drop trailers and a current fatigue medical are advantageous. Reliable, professional and a good communicator. Australian working rights required.
Lanes, hours & pay
Regular, well-planned interstate lanes across the east coast (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide) and east–west to Perth, with multi-day trips away depending on the run. We work to realistic schedules built around proper fatigue management — we don't ask drivers to push limits to make time. Competitive per-kilometre and trip rates, based on experience and the lanes you run, discussed at interview. This is steady, ongoing work for drivers who want consistency rather than constant change.
