Office Administrator — Part-time (Menangle Park, NSW)

About the role

Bertram Logistics is a family-owned, NHVAS-accredited interstate freight operator based at Menangle Park, NSW, running full-trailer-load linehaul between Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. We are looking for an organised, reliable Office Administrator to join our small operations team on a part-time basis. This is a varied, hands-on role at the heart of the business — you will keep our day-to-day administration running smoothly, support our drivers and customers, and help maintain the paperwork that underpins our compliance and accreditation. It suits someone who enjoys a busy environment, takes pride in accuracy, and wants flexible part-time hours that fit around other commitments.

What you'll do

Enter and manage consignments, proof-of-delivery (POD) documents and job records in our transport management system (TMS). Answer phone and email enquiries from customers and drivers, and take freight bookings. Prepare basic invoices and assist with accounts and data entry. Maintain accreditation, safety and compliance paperwork (NHVAS records, driver files, maintenance and induction documents) so everything is filed and audit-ready. Coordinate small day-to-day tasks with the operations team, order office supplies, and provide general administrative support. Help keep our records accurate and our office running smoothly during a busy operating week.

Hours, location & pay

Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week, worked across school hours or a similar arrangement — we are flexible for the right person and happy to discuss days and times that suit you. The role is based on-site at our Menangle Park, NSW office. Pay is competitive and based on experience, and will be discussed at interview. This is an ongoing part-time role with the potential to grow as the business does.

About you

Strong attention to detail and a methodical, accurate approach to paperwork and data entry. Confident computer skills — comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and willing to learn our TMS (full training provided). A clear, friendly phone manner and good written communication. Well organised, able to prioritise and keep calm in a busy operations environment. Reliable, trustworthy and happy working as part of a small, close-knit team. Transport, freight or logistics administration experience is a definite advantage but not essential — we will train the right person. Australian working rights required.

What we offer

A genuinely flexible part-time arrangement that can fit around family or study. A stable, friendly, family-owned business where your work is valued and you are not just a number. A varied role with real responsibility and the chance to learn the transport industry from the inside. Full training on our systems and processes. A supportive team, a tidy office, and a management team that listens. Free on-site parking at our Menangle Park base. If you want part-time work that is interesting, sociable and genuinely flexible, this is a great fit.
